Today we visited the charming historical Spanish town of Girona.
After a bumpy coach ride with a lot of
turbulence we got out and took a group photo beside the town walls. We then
walked up to I.E.S Jaume Vicens Vives (a Catalan secondary school) and then
walked around the historical sites: the cathedral, the jewish quarter, the
walls. We saw the infamous La lleona some later then kissing it. Local legend
says that if you kiss its bum it means that you will return to the town sometime
in the future. After that we walked
through the historic quarter and visited the plaça de l’Indepèndcia where we
had time to buy some delicious ice creams.
